Ever Present Squirrel

But he is staying out of my squirrel-proofed bird feeders now! He feeds on the ground under the feeders which implies the birds are sloppy.   :-)

European Starling

I was tickled to see a new bird at my feeders this morning at breakfast! Sorry the photo is not better but through the window pane and in the shadows is not the best condition for a photo. I'm enjoying the discovery of new birds from my kitchen table and will have another new one to share tomorrow which I still haven't identified. And I trust you know that you can click on the photo to see a larger image.

Moon

Our assignment in Photo by Design class was to look up for light. I love this one I made on July 4 this year. (Better than the fireworks!)

Finch, Sparrow or Pine Siskin?

My field guide doesn't have a perfect match on this one
No yellow for the goldfinch - pine siskin is also called "winter finch" and close to this,
yet there are so many varieties of sparrows - If you can ID for sure, let me know!
